New School Year Begins

Welcome to GPCS 2011-12
GPCS begins a new school year. Welcome to all our new families and to all our returning families! GPCS is blessed to announce that we have 127 students enrolled in grades K-12. We also have 11 students in our Pre K Program. The GPCS Family has 103 families as part of the school community this year. Beginning today are 26 new students representing 20 new families. We are so thankful to God for His Goodness to GPCS!

We also have new faculty beginning. Please welcome; Mr. Adam Howard– High School English, Miss Kate Donatelli– High School Math, Mrs. Joanna Martel– Middle School Science, Mrs. Angela Libby– Middle & Elementary Music & Mrs. Deb Bryant– Pre K Teachers Aide. New to the GPCS Soccer Program is Assistant Coach Jon Meek and Varsity Girls Head Coach Megan Waugh. First games for varsity soccer are this Friday.

Christian College Fair

GPCS will hold a Christian College Fair on Thursday, September 22 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with representatives of Christian colleges from around the country and to learn what each can offer. Traditionally we have had over 20 colleges participate. The fair will be held at GPCS in our gym and is free. GPCS also offers guidelines in preparing for college on our web site at www.gpcs.net. Click on “downloads” in the left column. GPCS hopes this will help as you consider college options.

GPCS Homecoming 2011
GPCS Homecoming is Saturday, October 1st. Opening Festivities begin at 9:00am. The first game is GPCS JV vs Grace Christian School at 10:00am. This is followed by varsity games. The Varsity Girls vs Calvary Christian will begin at noon. The Varsity Boys vs Acadia Christian will begins at 2:00pm. All GPCS Alumni are invited to come and play in the Alumni Game beginning at 4:00pm. This was a lot of fun last year! The day will end with dinner at 5:30pm. Save the date and come and enjoy a day of soccer at GPCS!

Director of Development Position Open:
GPCS is seeking a Director of Development. This will be a full time, year round position. An application can be downloaded from the web site at www.gpcs.net. Click on “Downloads” in the left column. GPCS Expresses Sorrow...

GPCS is sad to announce the passing of Mrs. Jan Pillsbury. She died Thursday, September 1, 2011. She and her family have been a part of GPCS for many years. GPCS was blessed to have had Jan serve on the school board.

Chris Mason (class of 2004) was married in January 2011.

Julia Hasbrouck (former student of 2007) is engaged to be married.

Victoria Woodward (class of 2007) is engaged to be married.

Laura Osgood Huddy (class of 2001) is expecting her second child.

Katie Osgood Catanese (class of 2004) is expecting her first child.

Jason Worthing (former student 2005) was married in August.

Shannon Carlson (class of 2005) was married in August.

Russ MacDougall (class of 2008 & Elisabeth Mason MacDougall (class of 2003) are expecting a child.

Andy Simpson (class of 2008) returned home from a mission trip to Haiti.

Jennifer Keenan Harrell (class of 2001) ran in this year’s Beach to Beacon Race.

Heidi Hilbelink Greenwood (class of 1996) and her husband had a baby girl in June.

Phillip Willink (class of 1986) and his wife had a baby boy.

Jamie Trudel (class of 2004) & his wife Kimberly Nevers Trudel (class of 2007) had a baby girl. Grandparents are Steve & Cynthia King Nevers (both class of 1984) happy grandparents.
