October Alumni Update
GPCS Homecoming 2009
GPCS hosted a Homecoming Weekend October 9 & 10. For the third year in a row, the Alumni, friends, former students, family VS GPCS Varsity Boys & Girls Teams soccer game was cancelled due to weather. We hope that next year we can get the game played! Sorry for this disappointment. However, the weather on Saturday was gorgeous for soccer! The GPCS Varsity Girls & Boys Teams played Calvary Christian. The girls took a win and the boys took a loss. The games were followed with a BBQ. Alumni spotted that day were: Chris Spaulding (class of 1989), Ralphy Conant (class of 2001), Shannon Carlson (class of 2005), April St. Cyr (class of 1992), Amanda Sarver (class of 2005), Kara Sarver (class of 2007), Derek Green (class of 2008) Bethany Green (class of 2009), Haien Choi (class of 2009) and AJ Holt (class of 2001). Past school families seen in attendance were David & Beth Andreasen, Rich & Bev Yarborough, Bill & Lois Bamford and Don & Doreen Theriault. It was a good time of fellowship with these alumni, past families, current school families, board members and we even had some grandparents in attendance.
Alumni at Soccer Games:
It is great to see alumni coming to soccer games and cheering our teams on. This season so far we have seen Matthew Bourne (class of 1991 ), Geoff Taylor (class of 2006), Meghan Murray (class of 2006), Matthew Congdon (class of 2008), Tyler Yarborough (class of 2008), Joe Tshamala (class of 2008), April St. Cyr (class of 1992), Matthew Scribner (class of 2009), David Hasbrouck (class of 2005), Derek Green (class of 2008), to name a few.
